5. Paths for Advancement and Possible Expansions
To strengthen Valerie Murphy’s proposal even further, we suggest a few
        complementary direcons:

Engagement with theological tradion: Including voices such as Jonathan
Edwards, Calvin, or Thomas Aquinas could deepen the theological under-
standing of the affecons and the inner life.

Empirical validaon of the tools: Case studies, applicaon reports, or quali-
tave evaluaons of the use of the Psalm 73 Model and the Emoon Cate-
gory Table would enrich the proposal.

Exploraon of the limitaons of secular approaches: A more direct crique
of the shortcomings of secular psychology would help to highlight more
clearly the gains from integrang faith and science.

        Conclusion
Valerie Murphy’s arcle represents a remarkable contribuon to the deve-
lopment of Chrisan psychology rooted in Scripture, aligned with scienfic
understanding, and focused on the formaon of the heart. Her sensive,
praccal, and pastoral approach is valuable for all who wish to contribute to
the formaon of Chrisan psychologists, counselors, and educators. We
hope her proposal will connue to grow and translate into praccal applica-
ons in educaonal contexts and in personal and spiritual formaon.
