I would propose that spiritual development is
a critical and important part of helping Chri-
stians who are suffering from the effects of
trauma. I have seen some people who end up
recovering from trauma, yet their faith gets left
behind in order to allow them to do the deeper
work of trauma recovery. Perhaps addressing
the repair of Christian identity might be a way
to avoid this.
